hey there,
I’m Bobbi Sue Thomas
Born and raised in South Alabama , I now live in Daphne with my husband, Doug, our two daughters, Caroline (almost 16) and Cammie (almost 13), and our four-year-old mini dachshund, Tiny (a.k.a. the baby of the family).
I launched Bobbi with the Eye in July 2023 after a dinner with my high school girlfriends where I told them I wanted to start posting my outfits and sharing more on Instagram and they really encouraged me to create my page. I’ve always loved finding a good deal, sharing outfit inspo, and helping friends discover affordable fashion that fits real life. My friends inspired me to put it out there, and the rest is history!
The name? That’s all Doug—because people always want to put an “e” at the end of my name, but it’s Bobbi with an i… and I’ve got an eye for affordable style.
sharing style that works as hard as you do: budget-friendly finds with a touch of luxe
Life has taken me on quite the journey.
After high school, I cheered and attended the University of Southern Mississippi for college before moving back home when my grandfather, who was like a father to me, got sick with cancer. I stepped into the workforce in 2008 and soon after became a mom to Caroline, followed by Cammie in 2012. That same year, I faced one of my biggest challenges—a difficult marriage that I was fortunate to leave behind. But in the spring of 2013, I met Doug, and from that moment, everything changed for the better. He has been my greatest blessing, the best stepfather to the girls, and my partner in all things—especially our weekly Dining with Doug series, where he works his magic in the kitchen!
I love sharing real life as a working mom.
Careerwise, I started as a temporary receptionist at my current company in 2013—no benefits, no guarantees—but with a lot of hard work (and a whole lot of support from Doug and the girls), I worked my way up to my current role as the Recruiting Leader for our Eastern Division. My job gives me the flexibility to juggle being a full-time professional and a full-time mom—because with two girls in volleyball and cheer, life never slows down (and I wouldn’t have it any other way!). I even went back to school online and received my Bachelor's of Business Administration degree from Troy University in December of 2019.

more than just fashion, I want to use this platform
for good
Social media can be a powerful tool for positivity, connection, and making a difference, and I’m so excited for all the goodness we can create together.
This space is all about finding joy in the everyday chaos—whether it’s a cute and practical outfit, a little life update, or an easy (but delicious!) recipe. I’m so glad you’re here, and I hope you find inspiration, laughter, and a whole lot of real life along the way! I hope you’ll join me over at @bobbiwiththeeye!
I am passionate about supporting small and local businesses within our community, and I am always seeking ways to engage my followers and the people around me in giving back to those in need. Making a positive difference and helping those less fortunate is something I hold dear.
None of this, however, would be possible without God, who has guided me through countless seasons, both good and bad. His presence in my life has cultivated a deep sense of gratitude, and I recognize that all the blessings I have are because of Him. It is important to me to glorify God in everything I do, as He is the source of all that I am and all that I have.
Frequently Asked Questions :
How do you manage it all?
Social media often shows a highlight reel, making it look like I have it all together, but the reality is that there are challenges every single day! Balancing life as a wife, a mom to two girls, working full-time, and creating content keeps me incredibly busy. While my schedule can get hectic, I focus on the exciting and fun aspects, really trying to not sweat the small stuff. Creating content has been such a fun creative outlet I didn’t know I needed! I usually find time to edit videos, respond to DMs/emails, and plan content in between time at the office, during school pickup, or in the quiet moments before bed.
Can you share how you style your hair?
If you’ve been following me for any time at all, you know I love my Shark Flexstyle! I truly don’t feel like I’m in any way qualified to share a hair tutorial, but since you asked for it I did film the process!
What is your makeup/skincare routine?
Over the last couple of years, I have found how important it is to take care of my skin! I have invested in quality skincare and have truly seen a difference. Most of my favorites are my Colleen Rothschild - I’m currently loving the Glycolic Acid Pads, Face Oil No 9, Illuminating Eye Cream, and the Intense Hydrating Mask. As for makeup, I feel like I’m always trying new products! I’ve recently enjoyed the Tula Primer, Elf Halo Glow and this $5 mascara. I’ve been making a conscious effort to try some clean products and have really loved the Merit 5 Minute Morning Set.
How did you find your style?
I’d say I'm still in the process of discovering it! While I definitely appreciate classic staples, I’ve always been drawn to color and fun prints. They just feel like a natural expression of my personality!
